These statistics are based on the NIIT
installation.  This Monitoring Site pings
a total of 7 machines, relative to the 
typical size of a small monitoring host.

*data accumulation is based on the 
calculated daily about of data collected per day
at NIIT for the month of Feb. '04.  That total
was then multiplied by 30, roughly the #of days
per month.

**includes the total size of timeping.pl, 
offsite.nodes, and CGI scripts.  This does 
not include monthly accumulation
because this value flucuates depending upon
the number of sites monitored.
If the site choses to historically save the 
PingER data, dependant on the number of
sites being monitored, they'd accumulate between
4M (for a 'small' monitoring site with <10 nodes) 
up to 120M per month for a larger monitoring
site comparable to SLAC which pings ~250 sites.

By default, the monthly data is not deleted and
accumulates continuously.  If needed, accumulated
data can be deleted every 30 days.
